ISABELLA GILBERT is a naarm-based actor, dancer and multidisciplinary performance artist who works across theatre, dance, film, sound and spoken word. She graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) in 2020. Isabella has created and performed two solo works for theatre, FLUSH (La Mama Explorations 2022, Melbourne Fringe 2023) and PUMP (Melbourne Fringe 2024, Adelaide Fringe 2025, Edinburgh Fringe 2025). For stage: Ciouxe (Bluestone Church Arts Space for Midsumma Festival 2026), Ron & Isobel (The Motley Bauhaus, 2025), An Audience with Don Dunstan (Chapel Off Chapel Melbourne & Ayers House Adelaide, 2025), Fish Amethyst (Bluestone Church Arts Space for Midsumma Festival 2024), Kovid Rat Kabarett (La Mama 2023), Madwomen Monologues (The Butterfly Club, 2022), The Trauma Project (fortyfivedownstairs, 2021). Isabella’s monologue Buttered Toast was presented in the Madwomen Monologues 2024 season. For screen: The C Word (‘Ginger’, Dir. Michelle Douglas, 2024), Saudage (‘Nina’, 2021), Dr Blake Murder Mysteries (‘Helen’ Dir. Declan Eames for ABC), Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (‘Catherine’ Dir Tony Tilse for ABC, 2013). Most recently Isabella’s toured her solo show PUMP to Summerhall Arts for Edinburgh Fringe 2025 where it received critical acclaim.
